Dr. Andrew Sim grew up in New York City. A National Merit Scholar, he received his undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from New York University where he was the recipient of the prestigious Henry M. Baird scholarship. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine and graduated with cum laude Latin honors. Dr. Sim returned to New York to complete his Anesthesiology residency training at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and then went on to pursue further specialty training in Interventional Pain Management at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in lower Manhattan.
Dr. Sim is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and also board certified in Pain Medicine. He is a current and active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the International Neuromodulation Society. He utilizes an individualized and comprehensive approach in treating each of his patients, and focuses on compassionate care and evidence-based pain management therapies to improve outcomes and increase quality of life.
